4. INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE FUNCTIONALITIES OF THE PLATFORM

At jornee, we value the privacy and security of the information users share with our platform. When users interact with the app, they are asked to write about their feelings, select the main emotions that drive them and express what they need at that moment. This information is stored anonymously in our cloud system, which means that while we have access to this data for analytics and platform improvements, we cannot trace this information back to an individual user, unless the user explicitly includes personally identifiable information in their inputs.

The platform also offers eight sets of emotional needs questionnaires, designed to help users identify and better understand their emotional states. When completing these questionnaires, users answer questions by selecting from pre-defined options, and each test generates three possible results. These results are anonymised and stored in the cloud so that we can access them for analytical purposes, but, as with sentiment data, they cannot be traced back to a specific user.

In addition, jornee provides prompts for journaling, helping users reflect on their emotional needs. Writings generated from these prompts are stored only on the user's device, without being transferred to our cloud. This ensures that these prompts remain completely private and out of our reach.

To protect user privacy, we implement robust security measures in the management of anonymised data stored in the cloud. We are committed to using this information only to improve the user experience on the platform and for internal research to better understand the emotional needs of our users as a whole.

By using jornee, you consent to your anonymised data being collected and used in this way. However, the user has full control over the personally identifiable information they choose to share and may choose not to include such data in their entries.

In addition, jornee may be obliged to retain personal data for a longer period provided that this is required for compliance with a legal obligation or by order of an authority. Once the retention period has expired, the personal data will be deleted. Therefore, the right of access, the right of deletion, the right of rectification and the right to data portability cannot be asserted after the retention period has expired.
